Hi, I’m Monica!  That’s the cartoon version of me on the left!  I like to refer to my background as a Skin Care Diva.  I spend the better portion of my income on so many beauty & skin care products that I felt it was necessary to start documenting my experiences and writing reviews.  Years ago, I started with a journal, but after taking some college level classes on Internet & Technology, I set up this website.  My goal is to build the largest database of consumer opinions on all types of skin care products.  In cases where I have personal experience with a product, I conclude my review of the product with my opinion.  Please feel free to submit your own skin care product reviews.  A lot of new anti wrinkle products are on the market, so you can expect plenty of wrinkle cream reviews in the near future.

Wrinkle Eraser by Eliteskin

The Wrinkle Eraser by Elite Skin is an anti wrinkle cream (actually a GEL) that works well to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles.  Featuring the latest scientifically-advanced ingredients such as Argireline and Matrixyl™ 3000, this anti wrinkle cream is available individually or in the popular Age Defying System by EliteSkin, which also boasts a neck cream, and the heralded Elite Serum.  This system of products work from the neck up to cure wrinkles, puffiness, and loose skin.

The Wrinkle Eraser features the potent combination of Argireline® and Leuphasyl®, which reduced expression wrinkles by up to 46% in a 28 day clinical trial.  It’s hard to argue with the science sometimes.  If you have been reading about the best wrinkle creams in recent years, you most certainly have heard of Matirxyl™ 3000.  Matrixyl™3000 contains two patented matrikines, Pal-GHK and Pal-GQPR, which act in synergy to restore and maintain the skin’s youthful appearance. MatrikinesTM are messengers of cutaneous restructuration and repair. They activate the neosynthesis of extracellular matrix macromecules providing Matrixyl™3000 with a visible anti wrinkle efficacy.  That said, this wrinkle cream is formulated to wipe out wrinkles.

I wish every company was as down to earth as EliteSkin! I have sought out their products in exchange for some write-ups, and they kindly oblige.  Perhaps this is why they are showing up on so many blogs, their strong belief in their products make them very aggressive and willing to get people to try them.  Very cool I must say.

Telomere Cell Cream

The product we’re going to talk about today is the Telomere Cell Cream, and it’s a daily use moisturizer that is used to correct signs of aging at the cellular level.

This product is part of the DNA Rejuvenation System they released in June of 2010, and it’s basically a three product system of skin care products that works to reach the cellular level and stimulate skin rejuvenation.  According to a rep from the company (and also noted on their website – EliteSkin) it’s best to use this system of products during or immediately after using an anti wrinkle product.  So, if you are using anything to help cover up and visibly reduce wrinkles, this is the nest logical step.

Since I’m just reviewing the Telomere Cell Cream in this post today, I’ll wait to talk about the rest of the DNA Rejuvenation System another day.  The Telomere Cell Cream is an impressive product, and is designed for daily use.  It has one amazing ingredient that you probably have heard of before:  Renovage.

This ingredient works the DNA level like few others.  It’s a potent active ingredient that facilitates cells and corrects at the cellular level. This may not be just a bunch of talk, since there have been several studies conducted on Renovage. The vitro study claims it is beneficial in coetaneous functional recovery and structural recovery. Another clinical study determined that there significant visible and structural improvements to the skin and signs of aging. There was a 35% improvement in firmness, 45% improvement in tone, and a 56% reduction in pigment spots. Lines and wrinkles were significantly reduced.

Renovage, in addition to other ingredients like PURE hyaluronic acid, work to help maintain telomere levels in the skin.  If you don’t know the science behind telomeres, basically they are strands of DNA that become weaker over time and need to be treated accordingly.  In short, this product treats the skin at the DNA level like not many other skin care products do.

I have personally used this product for two weeks, and although I’m the first to state that I don’t wish to do a full review after only two weeks of use, I can tell this one is working wonders on my skin.  I use it after applying my wrinkle cream, and use it to fully repair any signs of aging while the anti wrinkle solution works to reduce the visibility of wrinkles on my skin.  Together, I’m pretty positive good things are happening on my face, and I’ll be reporting more in about two more weeks.

I was floored when I read an advertisement for this new facial moisturizer by EliteSkin, but then when I recalled the other products in their line and how they have been getting great skin care reviews in magazines, blogs, and even by radio personalities, it didn’t shock me that the brains behind this up and coming company did something like this….

Directions state to keep the product in the refrigerator and use when the logo on the label turns blue.  If that is not one of the most bizarre things in the world, keep in mind this facial moisturizer that uses squalane and pure hyaluronic acid is patent-pending, so it’s extremely scientific.

I used this moisturizer and had great success.  My skin feels softer, more supple, and naturally I just look better and younger after using this.  It does feel nice and refreshing when applied at the cooler temperature, and this is one skin product I’ll keep in my regimen for quite some time.

Kolllagen Intensiv

I’m usually very apprehensive about “all in one” creams that moisturize, smooth wrinkles, and repair sun damage, among other claims made on the Kollagen Intensive website.  However, even though the site makes some quirky claims, the end result with this anti wrinkle cream was fabulous.  I’d compare it to LifeCell’s wrinkle cream, another all in one take on treating the skin.

Among other things, this facial cream works to stimulate collagen.  Unless you’re a relative newbie to skin care and skin treatments, collagen is something our body produces plenty of when we’re young, but it pretty much stops production as we age.

Other skin conditions that are treated by Kollagen Intensiv’s all in one cream are dark circles, crows feet, and puffiness.  These pesky signs of aging are very common, and often times products can focus on one of them, but this product goes where not many dare to and treats all of them.

I had a friend of mine named Lina give this product a shot, and here was her feedback….

For now, let me share with you my opinion on the Wrinkle System’s Dark Circle serum.  The clinical data is off the charts, and the price is affordable.

Let’s first take a look at the clinicals:

Wow, those are serious figures.  In my experience, this dark circle eye serum worked almost instantly.  The easy application allows an ample amount of serum to be dispensed by the bottle, and my dark circles VANISHED with continued use.  This is truly a world class product that I would recommend to anyone who has problems with dark under eye circles. The affordable price makes it easy to re-load each month as well.

My personal opinion: This is the best dark circle eye serum available, and best of all, it’s priced right.  Some other web portals seem to agree…..read the Dark Circle Serum review to see another bloggers opinion.

A big fan of the Wrinkle System Anti Aging brand of skin care products, I had a girlfriend of mine apply the instant face lift to her face and report back results.  The company calls this “plastic surgery in a bottle,” so the expectations were set very high.  However, this product delivered as promised.  This amazing skin solution tightens and firms sagging skin to visibly lift it as it smooths creases and wrinkles.  The results were tremendous, her face literally looked years younger.  The best part is that the results lasted about 8 hours!

If you aren’t familiar with instant products, it’s important you understand how they work.  They are NOT therapeutic, and will not have any long term benefits for your skin.  Instead, the quick-strike ingredients work on contact to instantly lift and firm the skin, therefore drastically reducing wrinkle depth and appearance.  Most people are AMAZED at the results they achieve, and thirst for more.  But it’s important to know that these types of products are more like make-up than anything else.

Key Ingredients: Sodium Silicate, Iron Oxide, Ethylhexylglycerin

My personal opinion: taking into account there is no therapeutic value in any instant product (no matter what a manufacturer tells you), this is among the most innovative products out there.  My girlfriend who tested the face lift still uses this product when she wants immediate results.  This is the best product to apply to wrinkled skin before that big dinner party, night on the town, or when you need to make a good first impression.  Kudos to Wrinkle System for another great product!

Since I’ve become familiar with this Wrinkle System brand, I thought I’d give their sunblock a shot.  I am normally not someone who uses an SPF 40 sunblock, as I am fairly dark in tone and don’t need to really block out too much of the sun.  However, I’m always on the hunt to find the best sunblock that can keep my skin from wrinkling, and this was among the best one’s I found.  I didn’t really plan on using this sunblock, due to the high sun protection factor, however I read on a sunblock review website that a woman from Miami was testing out sunblocks and that this one was her favorite. So, I gave it a shot.  Not only does this sunscreen absorb fast, (which is usually a concern among sunblocks that are of the higher spf), but it stays on for a good amount of time without leaving any white residue on the skin.

Here’s a closer look at the sunblock:

It’s an aloe-based moisturizing formula that combines the newest nano-technology and biotechnology to deliver very high UVA and UVB protection with wrinkle fighting peptides and antioxidant factors (such as green tea and lipoic acid).  Not only does this sunblock protect the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, but the inclusion of Argireline, a potent anti aging ingredient, ensures that wrinkles will be kept at bay.

Key Ingredients: Green tea extract, aceytyl hexapeptide 3, vitamin a, alpha-lipoic acid.

Those ingredients alone make this the most impressive sunblock I’ve ever seen marketed towards wrinkle prevention.  aceytyl hexapeptide 3 is the INCI name for Argireline.  Do a  quick Google search to find out all the benefits of that amazing wrinkle-paralyzing ingredient.

My personal opinion: Folks, if you are over the age of 30, and starting to go to great lengths to prevent wrinkles, this is the best possible sunblock you could use on your skin.  The advanced formula allows me to tan properly, obtain a little bit of color, but still works non-stop to prevent the things I fear the most:  WRINKLES.

A new product by respected anti aging skin care brand Wrinkle System, the Cellular Moisturizing Gel is a daily use moisturizer that is oil-free and suggested for use for all skin types.  This moisturizing gel is rich in nutrients with scientifically proven actives such as seaweed extract and hyaluronic acid.  Those two powerhouse ingredients are among the top anti aging ingredients in today’s skin care products.

Apparently someone at Wrinkle System found my website, because I was approached by the company to review their entire new line of products.  Of course, who is going to turn down free skin care products?  For this reason, I personally tested this moisturizer on my skin as I tested the other new Wrinkle System products.   You can find all of my Wrinkle System reviews throughout this website.

Product: Cellular Moisturizing Gel

Key Ingredients: seaweed extract, hyaluronic acid.

So how did my test go?

I really liked the cellular moisturizing gel, and I think it’s a product I will stick with.  Not only is it affordable, but it goes on smooth and absorbs well.  It’s not sticky like most gels on the market, and it left my skin moist and smooth after about a weeks use.  The website says it stimulates new cell growth.  I can’t really dig that deep and analyze it on that level, but I have to say my skin has a certain glow that it didn’t have before using this moisturizing gel.

Another product I received FREE from Wrinkle System in exchange for a review on this website, I am happy to report that I enjoyed the Extreme Cleansing Gel.  Cleansers seem to be a dime a dozen in the skin care market, and if you wash your face with a good soap twice per day a cleanser can be avoided if you really want to watch your spending.  However, if you use other anti aging products, you’ll find that a good cleanser can really improve their effectiveness.  For this reason, I personally use a daily cleanser morning and evening. (I’ve used several brands in my life, they all seem to be similar.)

Directions state to wet face with water, squeeze a few drops into the palm of the hand, and work it into the face.  Of course, be careful to avoid the eye area.  When it’s worked into the face, rinse with luke warm water.  Easy enough I guess!

Product: Extreme Cleansing Gel

Price: $24.00

Key Ingredients: purified water, decyl glucoside, disodium coco-glucoside citrate, coco-glucoside, glyceryl oleate, hydrolyzed wheat protein, xanthan gum, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, sodium hydroxide.

My personal opinion: I’ve used about every facial cleanser on the block, and they all seem to do a pretty good job.  However, in order to not have any interactions among ingredients, it’s best to stick with one brand for all of your products, if possible.  For example, I’ve been using the Wrinkle System Dark Circle Eye Serum, and it has been phenomenal treating my dark circles.  I suppose I can attribute most of the success to the use of the extreme cleansing gel prior to using the eye serum.  Of course, these products work together in synergy since they are under the same brand.  For that reason, I have no reason not to give the Extreme Cleansing Gel two thumbs up.  It comes as part of the popular system “The Two Minute Wrinkle Drill,” where you also receive an eye serum and an anti wrinkle cream, so for the value there, this is something you definitely want to check out.
