Cellulite is an inflammation of the layers within the skin, caused by an excess of fat cells within the skin that seem to be pushing their way upwards, toward the top layer of the skin. The appearance that comes from cellulite is widely known, as the majority of women have cellulite present somewhere on their body. Some of the most common areas that are affected by cellulite include throughout the thighs, stomach and buttocks, but there are indeed other areas of the body that can succumb to the lumpy appearance. The lumpy appearance is indeed the fat cells that are pushing upwards against the connective tissue within the skin, which is the initial cause of the lumpy appearance.
Although cellulite can often be permanent, there have been many products that have been developed to reduce the appearance of the cellulite that has formed within the inner layers of the skin and is causing the lump appearance.
Although there are many factors that can contribute to a person developing cellulite within the various parts of the body, including: genetic factors, diet and body fat – the products that have been developed to reduce the appearance of the cellulite within the body are often highly effective when they contain concentrated ingredients.
Which ingredients have been proven most effective when treating the cellulite that has formed within the body? Effective ingredients include caffeine and amino acids which are used in the skin. Caffeine is used within cellulite treatments to energize the skin, increasing the blood flow to the areas affected by cellulite and therefore reducing the appearance. Many of the topical treatments that are used to reduce the appearance of cellulite must often be applied for a significant period of time before results are seen.
Similar to many other skin care products, products with a higher concentration of ingredients are often the most effective. Higher concentrations of ingredients, as well as those which contain ingredients that are used as an effective way to cause the skin to absorb the ingredients, within the inner layers are often the most effective in treating cellulite.
Aside from topical treatments, there has been an introduction of innovative treatments, such as injections which are made into the fat cells within the skin, which can potentially have the ability to reduce the appearance of the cellulite as it can reduce the appearance of the fat cells within the body and treatments which include massage and touch therapy to reduce the appearance of cellulite through the skin. These treatments can be effective in reducing the appearance, as can topical treatments – but it is important to realize that every patient is different and therefore may have different results with each treatment that is administered to reduce the appearance of the cellulite within the body.
