My mission is to make Skin Care Opinions the most popular web portal where people can share their opinions about any and all skin care products that are on the market. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and my goal is to take those opinions and form a “group consensus” on the various products we review on this website. I wish all other web portals on the topic of skin care were opinion-based, but it’s certainly not the case if you just take a look around. Let me explain to you how many companies are using tricky marketing tactics to sell you products that may not fit your needs.
Do you want proof? I can give you a quick rundown on how things work in a world called affiliate marketing. You see, many people set-up websites that “review skin care products” but really only show you certain angles of the products. They are often quick to point out the downfalls of a certain product while highlighting the qualities of other products. The reason for this is because they are getting PAID to do this. This group of people has a name, they are called “affiliate marketers”. In simple terms, this just means that they get paid a commission of up to $100 per sale for any visitor (that’s you) who clicks from their site to the site of the actual skin care product.
How you spot these “fake” skin care review sites, is by looking at the makeup of the links they feature, which send you to the actual sites of the skin care products, such as wrinkle creams. All of their links are “affiliate links”. This means that they contain a reference in their URL that identifies YOU as being THEIR customer, so that if you buy, they get a paid a hefty commission.
Skin Care Opinions simply allows our visitors to rank their experience 1-5 on each product, and share a comment if desired. You will not see any tracking ID’s nor do we get paid a commission by the companies we list on the website. This site was created as part of a continued study on skin care products and is part of my life. As a self-proclaimed skin care diva, I feel it’s my duty to stay in touch with the industry I know and love.
Skin Care Opinions is not a promotional or sales based site for the products reviewed here. Instead, it’s a soundbox for consumers to share their opinions, trade skin care tips, and where readers can view or contribute to the database of information about the products reviewed. Our opinion is that by keeping the site user-driven, the reviews remain completely impartial, and the true best skin care products will be decided by the masses.
Please visit each company at your own discretion. We do not take responsibility for any purchases that you may decide to make after reading this review website. However, if you report your good and bad experiences to me personally, I will be sure the news is handled accordingly and the proper messages are relayed to the manufacturers.
Opinions Wanted! This site was designed with the goal of keeping consumers up to date with skin care product reviews as well as information about all of the latest skin care products. As new skin care products are introduced, they are posted on the website along with MY opinion. Feel free to chime in and share your opinion of the various products as well.
