Eye Bags

Eye bags are the droopy, puffy pockets of skin that appear in the early morning.  They can give off the notion to others that we didn’t get enough sleep, or that we are not eating properly.  Some people associate eye bags with heavy drinking.  Whatever the real story may be, there are many reasons to avoid under eye bags at all costs.

Here are some tips you can follow to avoid eye bags
1.  Practice proper sleep patterns. The amount of sleep you get each night can have an impact on if you develop eye bags or not.  Lack of sleep is one of the main reasons under eye bags form.  Make sure you get at least 6 hours of sleep each night to avoid eye bags.
2.  Drink plenty of water. Hydration is also another way to avoid eye bags.  Proper hydration is the key to any skin care routine, and it’s no different with eye bags.
3.  Apply an under eye serum on a regular basis. Believe it or not, there are plenty of eye serums on the market that can instantly treat eye bags.  One ingredient that is said to help get rid of eye bags is Eyeliss.  In case you haven’t read, here is my pick for the best eye serum, which does contain the Eyeliss ingredient.
Additionally, eating properly can help reduce your chance of developing eye bags.

Eye Wrinkles

Eye wrinkles are a common sign of aging that usually start surfacing on people’s skin around age 40. Eye wrinkles are commonly referred to as “crows feet” due to the similarity to the foot of a crow.  The wrinkle starts from the corner of each eye and spouts out towards the temple, resulting in what many people feel looks like a crows foot.

Eye wrinkles are caused by many factors throughout life.  While there are some factors that cannot be controlled, such as genetics, there are a few that can be paid attention to and when cared for properly, eye wrinkles can be avoided.

Here are a few of the common causes of eye wrinkles.

1.  Sun damage. The sun’s harmful UV rays beat down on our skin from the time we are born.  The sun is a very harmful element that needs to be respected.  When you are exposed to the sun, you must protect yourself with a solid SPF sunblock.  Even a few minutes of impact from the sun can affect your skin.  Be sure to take care of your skin at all times, and be especially careful of the sun as you get closer to the equator.

2.  Habitual Expressions. Throughout life, we are prone to making many faces which result in expression lines.  A common wrinkle that people seem to obtain is on the “laugh line” around the jaw.  The same theory is applied to eye wrinkles.  As we make sudden movements, such as squinting, we are making a habitual expression.  Basically, the more this movement is made, the more the skin is prone to developing a pattern of movements, which results in eye wrinkles.

There are eye wrinkle prevention techniques, of course.  By following the below advice, you can avoid eye wrinkles.

1.  Wear sunblock. Easy enough, apply an SPF sunblock on your face and around your eyes when you are exposed to the sun.

2.  Wear sunglasses. This will keep you from squinting, as the sunglasses will block the sun, making you less prone to squint.

3. Sleep on your back. This is easier said than done for most people, but sleeping on your back will prevent you from squinting and creasing your face as you toss and turn at night.

4.  Use an eye wrinkle cream. Eye wrinkle creams can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and moisturize the skin.  Look for a wrinkle cream with retin-a or retinol for best results.

For most of us, eye wrinkles are a harsh reality we must face in life.  However, with proper wrinkle prevention logic and proper use of skin care products, eye wrinkles can be greatly reduced in appearance.
